Abstract

Turkey has a great place in international strategies according to the view of the geostrategic importance it enjoys, both at the geopolitical, economic, military and security levels. It has also been an effective pillar of regional security arrangements in the Middle East region since the twentieth century. The disintegration of the Soviet Union has expanded its role in the Central Asia, Caucasus, and Middle East regions, which contribute to the evolution of Turkey's position in the Russian strategic perception.
