Evaluation of the experience of administrative decentralization in Iraq

Abstract

        The experience of administrative decentralization applied in Iraq after the year 2003 is a personal example of the political transformations and changes that occurred in Iraq due to the change of the political system after the year 2003. The research, which went through two phases, its incorporation phase before the enactment of Law No. 21 of 2008, and as a result of the enactment of the law, two rounds of local elections were held, and the holding of the local elections for the third round was delayed, and due to a number of internal factors, the work of the provincial councils was suspended in the year 2019, and it is scheduled to be held at the end of the year 2023, and during that short period, this experiment needed a correction and correction machine in order to address the errors that it encountered during the period of its work
